How to talk between two devices
- 01 — Open morsecodeverse.com/walkie-talkie/ on both devices.
- 02 — Easiest: hit Invite a partner on the screen and open the link on the second device — it arrives pre-tuned. Or pick the same sound mode + environment manually.
- 03 — Press LISTEN and allow the microphone on both.
- 04 — Tap CQ · ping: a listening partner’s walkie-talkie answers QSL automatically and both screens show ✓ linked — that’s your “we’re connected” moment.
- 05 — Type, hit PTT, and watch it appear on the other screen. Reply with R · roger.
- 06 — Every walkie-talkie gets a callsign (like K2X — tap it to change). Once partners know each other, messages travel addressed the ham way — N7Q DE K2X, “to N7Q from K2X” — and traffic for other callsigns stays out of your log unless you turn on monitor mode.
It’s half-duplex like a real walkie-talkie: it mutes its own ears while transmitting, then goes back to listening. The receiver locks onto the sender's speed automatically. Every message ends with ·−·−· (the ham-radio AR "end of message" prosign, +) followed by a two-character checksum — that's how the other side can stamp a message ✓ verified.
